It’s a fact that if you haven’t had the flu this season, you probably know someone who has. There are a couple things you can do to prevent it. First, eat healthy food.  Making sure to get those veggies. Second, pay attention to getting enough Zinc and Vitamin C into the body. If you are prone to getting ill, it may be a good idea to supplement with NSP’s Elderberry Plus, or if you have auto-immune system imbalances use Astragalus. Echinacea/Goldenseal is fabulous, if you catch the symptoms in the beginning. If the flu already hit you try Yarrow or NSP’s VS-C. Both are great for viruses. If all else fails and it hits you hard, go the homeopathic route. Flu remedy is good, often sold under the name Oscillococinium, sold in any health food store and now even in most grocery stores. No matter what you take, remember that the body needs rest and time to heal so give yourself a bit of both.

Our food and drink must be changed into smaller molecules of nutrients before they can be absorbed into the blood and carried to cells throughout the body. Digestion is the process by which food and drink are broken down into their smallest parts so that the body can use them to build and nourish cells and to provide energy.
